Description

Our Merlot sites range from plantings as early as 2001 to as recent as 2013 planted in schist soils near Hermon, which gives structure to the wine; and vineyards planted in granite soils in the Bovlei which create the appealing fruit and minerality.

Notes:

Medium-bodied with a soft, plush mouthfeel. Ripe red and black fruits (mulberry, cherry, plum) carry through, complemented by hints of mocha. Smooth, rounded tannins and a moderate acidity create balance and drinkability. A touch of savory herbs may emerge as the wine opens. Silky, smooth finish with lingering notes of fruit, chocolate, and sweet spice.
